EXPERTISE

Mr. Patrick Martin presides over the Commission d'expertise, a committee that evaluates and authenticates the works of Jean Cocteau. The commission meets five times a year.

The next meetings of the Commission d'expertise are scheduled for:

Alternatively, works may be presented directly to the Commission if an appointment is scheduled beforehand.

APPROACH

Works on paper must be removed from their frames prior to shipment.
All requests must be accompanied by 3 colour photographs of reasonable quality (format 18x24 cm) and should include all relevant information that may help to authenticate the work in question (origin, receipt of purchase, commentaries, etc.)

All requests must be accompanied by a check to the value of 300 euros per work, made payable to the "Comité Jean Cocteau".

One week after the meeting, you will either receive a certificate of authenticity (no duplicates will be issued) or your request for a certificate will be rejected.

The return of all works received by the commission will be the sole responsibility of the applicant (shipping and insurance).
